An introduction to mindfulness
Over the last 30 years, academic research in the fields of neuroscience and psychology have documented the wide-ranging benefits of practicing mindful meditation.
Although mindfulness is a practice often touted for its stress relieving benefits, we now know it can offer much more than that. Improvements in productivity, communication, cognitive function and working memory are also reported through a regular practice. Here we aim to demystify mindfulness and teach you how you can incorporate it into your everyday life.
In this workshop we cover:
What mindfulness is and how you can benefit from it
What autopilot is and how it affects us
Mindful eating; a new approach to food
Techniques for practicing meditation
A guided seated meditation
Workshop duration: 1 hour / 90 minutes
